My Story

I graduated from Northern Michigan University in 2012 with a bachelor’s in writing, and left with a plan to be a journalist. But plans change.

My first job was at the local daily newspaper in Marquette, Mich., The Mining Journal, and it was there I found my love and passion for photography.

Though I left my photography job for personal reasons and a hope for better opportunities in Minnesota, I continue to have a passion for photography. Nothing would make me more happy than to be given a chance to become a photographer once again.

In the meantime, I photograph portraits and special events to keep that passion in my life while I cover the K-12 education beat at the Duluth News Tribune.
