I cover K-12 schools in the Northland and the youth. My main focus is covering Duluth Public Schools and its School Board. I collaborate with a multimedia producer and staff photographers for in-depth features. On occasion I take and edit my own photographs and video.

I was in charge of editing and writing news content for the newspaper and website as well as maintaining social media. We collaborated with the marketing team on promotional opportunities for the paper as well as with graphic artists on projects. We partnered with local organizations on events, promotions and community outreach.
